Nika + Osmosis Q | Mladí ladí jazz 2024

The new year is here and with it a new visual and another concert in Jazz Dock! This time with the winner of the Jazzfruit competition, Nika and the young band Osmosis Q.

NIKA

Twenty-one year old graduate of the Janáček Conservatory, who distinctively handles genres such as jazz, pop, folk and alternative, and lyrically is not afraid to go into the topics of relationships, artificiality of the world, manipulation and hypocrisy. In addition, Nika was this year’s winner of the Junior category in our Jazzfruit young jazz talent competition! Simply fresh music from life that you need to discover!

Osmosis Q

A new project of young talents, where each member brings their individual musical approach to the band. Their genre-rich playlist stands out for its distinctive energy and improvisation. In addition to songs by international artists (Wayne Shorter, Kenny Wheeler or Carla Bley), you will also hear their own original work.

The event is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Prague 5 Municipal District, the project is implemented with the financial participation of the EU through the National Regeneration Plan and the Ministry of Culture. In addition, the event is supported by a subsidy from the City of Prague for the year-round activities of the Nerudný fest organisation, which organises the festivals Mladí ladí jazz, Praha žije hudbou, Koncert pro budoucnost and Student fest, in the amount of CZK 3,500,000.
